Ames Boston Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton Hotels ReviewsAddress: 1 Court St, Boston, MA 02108-2615
We stayed there three nights, and we felt ourselves very good. If we will go to Boston again, we will stay here, this is sure. The view is awsome through the very big glass windows. Our room was very quiet.
The good things: a great location (walkable distance to all must-see downtown Boston sights), good advice from the front desk/concierge on restaurants, and friendly doormen. The bad: Very dark (bathrooms painted black, elevators black, lighting in the hallways almost non-existent). Very loud (there is a reason why they put ear-plugs in your nightstand!) due to inadequate windows. And speaking of…More
This small hotel located in the center of Boston is a total gem. Very modern with a fresh feeling made me and my daughter feel like queens. It's so different from the usual uniformed hotel look. I absolutely loved the décor of the room and the bathroom. The view was amazing and the sheets crisp, we slept like babies. Not only was the location excellent but the room and the service was awesome. When we arrived we were greeted by Derek. He was a gracious host and ensured we made it to our room and were pleased. Check-in was a breeze and Dana was extremely nice and greeted us with a smile (made me feel like I was home)….More
I stayed at the Ames Hotel last week for work. The rooms are gorgeous and have 12 foot ceilings. My room was on the corner and overlooked the Old State House and the Custom House. The room was larger than the apartment I used to have in the North End. It had a living room, eating area, and separate bedroom….More
The Ames was just added to the Hilton portfolio through its Curio line, so this is my first stay at the Ames (October 12-14, 2016). This will be my new go to hotel when in Boston. As an HHonors Diamond, I tend to gravitate to Hilton properties, but I have stayed in a number of good Boston hotels. The Ames…More
The Ames has a very fine location in downtown Boston. The superior room is good, but the price are high though not compared to other downtown hotels. The hotel was being renovated. We could not get breakfast here, but we received two $10 vouchers for Pauls nearby, which has excellent breakfast and lunch. The service on the door is not always…More
We stayed at the Ames Boston Hotel for a brief fall break with my husband and 2 daughters 11 and 12. The hotel is located walking distance to everything and is literally on the Freedom Trail. It appears to have been recently remodeled and has very modern decor and the best rain shower. The staff especially

Mixed experience here – though to be fair the hotel was being renovated at the time so unsurprisingly at times it felt a little haphazard. Room was nice and staff were pretty friendly. Other guests had frustratingly long waits for their luggage. We'd give it another go.
It means the world to us that you chose to stay with us while in Boston IrishGirl26. Thank you!We are very proud of our central location and it is great to know you found it convenient. It is disappointing to hear that some areas of the hotel were not quite up to your expectations. The hotel was undergoing renovations when we arrived on Sept 30. The staff were very pleasant and the location is great for visitors to Boston and the Freedom Trail! The room was comfortable albeit a simple black, white and marble decor. We felt we were paying for the location … but it was worth the convenience!Review collected in partnership with Curio – A Collection by Hilton This business uses tools provided by TripAdvisor (or one of its official Review Collection Partners) to encourage and collect guest reviews, including this one.
