My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights at the start of a train trip from Boston to Niagara Falls. We were greeted in a friendly manner when we arrived. Our room was on the 10th floor. It contained one of the most hideous pieces of furniture I had ever seen but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom…More

Having stayed in Kimpton hotels before, and having just stayed in The Ink in NYC we were really looking forward to staying at the Onyx in Boston. However on arrival we were put in a very small room by Kimpton standards on the 9th floor even though we had booked a deluxe king room – very disappointing. Having queried this…More

For what my husband and I paid it was total over priced. When I called and booked our reservations, I asked if they had dog sitters which is one reason I booked at this hotel; we were told yes, however, their dog sitters were having our leashed dogs hooked up to the consierge desk!! Altho one of our dogs loved…More

We visited one of our fave cities this past Columbus Day weekend for my wife's pre-birthday celebration. We had stayed at a Kimpton Hotel in San Francisco some years back and loved it, so without reservation I made a reservation.First off…props to their customer service! I had mistakenly booked the wrong weekend using a special offer that didn't allow…More

We had an impromptu trip to Boston and Salem on a rainy Columbus Day weekend. We found the staff welcoming, the location convenient, and the rooms comfortable. I generally stay at the Copley Marriott or something similar in that area. This particular night we chose a boutique hotel in the North Station Area. It is located on a side street and if you are u familiar with Boston, your GPS will take you in circles. Call ahead for exact directions. We book a King Room for $299…More

A disappointing stay – first night spoilt by continuous hum/droning noise, which I would guess came from some electrical equipment somewhere, resonating through the room. Must of been bad as even my wife commented on it. To be fair the the hotel (Sue) quickly and efficiently (and full of apologies) sorted the next morning. However a quick Google confirmed the…More

Went for a family function that was held at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Chose this hotel due to the proximity to the museum; upon arrival discovered it was not as close as we anticipated. The location was excellent for all of our other activities. Close to North End, The Market and to transit. Always enjoy their Happy Hour…More

Great location, staff and room. Short walk to Italian area and Quincey Market etc.Complimentary wine and nibbles each evening is a nice touch and enjoyable after a day of sightseeing. All in all a fab stay. Expensive but very nice.We did not have breakfast at the hotel but it looked great.Loved the decor and Boston slang cushions.
