XV Beacon Hotel, Boston Hotels ReviewsAddress: 15 Beacon St, Boston, MA 02108-2902
PROS: great location, quirky decor, friendly staff. Restaurant Mooo excellent. Loved the lifts (elevators) – very deco feel. Bubbly and chocolate dipped strawberries delivered to our room on our special anniversary – very nice.CONS: generally tired condition. Everywhere (lobby, bedroom) very dark. Room was small even for a city hotel (we had to move a chair to get to…More
Nice hotel, comfortable rooms, fireplace in rooms very romantic. Helpful staff and delicious apple cider in lobby. Nice turndown service with sweet snacks at night…. but let's talk about the noise…. so very loud woken up at 3:30 from dump trucks that never left! I have nothing else negative to say except sleep hit or miss thru the night!
This is a very friendly hotel – all the staff make a point of saying "welcome back" when you enter the hotel. It is brilliantly situated – around 2 minutes from Boston Common, 5 minutes from Park St T station, 8 minutes from Faneuil Hall marketplace. Our room was very nice – a corner room, but it was billed as…More
We selected this hotel on the strength of tripadvisor reviews, so it only makes sense that we provide our perspective. On the plus side, our room was nice — well appointed and spacious. There were a few quibbles — inoperative lighted mirror and an odd place for a clothes closet in the bathroom. But that would not have deterred us…More
XV Beacon is a real find if you're staying in Boston. The rooms and amenities are first rate, the staff kind and efficient. This hotel was recently added to a major travel magazine's list of the top 100 hotels in the world, and the honor is well deserved. Their restaurant, Mooo, is superb, and I have reviewed it separately.
Lovely boutique hotel with that individual feel and personal touch. You can see and feel the quality in the furnishings, bed linen and shower. Tasteful elegant styling and welcoming staff. They even sent up some cake as a birthday celebration treat which was a nice surprise. Great location in the centre of the main tourist attractions. Highly recommended.
Spent four wonderful nights at this terrific boutique hotel last week. Our room was well-appointed, spacious and very comfortable. The staff was courteous and engaged. Room service (breakfast and a dinner) was delivered promptly and was good. Experienced a couple of minor glitches – nothing out of the ordinary – and they were resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The courtesy car…More
The staff is extremely helpful and very professional. The location is walkable to so many places in Boston. Their on site restaurant, Moo, has great food, exceptional service as well. The rooms are typical size for a Boston area hotel. One complaint, there was literally 2 small drawers to put clothing in. We were there for 5 days and simply…More
This is a boutique hotel in a great position for visiting all Boston has to offer. Service is very good and the hotel was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. We stayed there for a week and were delighted with our choice
Had a private event in the wine cellar. Loved the wines; loved the seafood display with two different types of oysters, crab, shrimp, and lobster. Also had a slider display with excellent French fries. Great service. Nice ambience.
