I stayed here last month while in town for business, and usually enjoy my Hampton Inn stays (I'm an HHonors guy). This visit wasn't the best, even though the staff was very friendly and did the best they could with air-conditioning issues our first day.The location is great for exploring the downtown historic district on foot, but our A/C…More

We so very much appreciate your continued business and for being an “HHonors guy”. I am so sorry we had any problems while you were here and would like to ask that you please let me know the next time you are in town so I can be on the lookout for the perfect room with the perfect AC for…More johnrM7621JTCharlotte, North CarolinaLevel Contributor 7 reviews 5 hotel reviews

Hotel service was good although while Hilton always asks about being recognized as a a Gold Member, neither this hotel nor the one I recently stayed in Beckley, WV made any mention of it when I checked in nor did they offer me a welcoming gift. Nonetheless service was good and Housekeeping did a good job. One issue that we…More Review collected in partnership with Hampton This business uses tools provided by TripAdvisor (or one of its official Review Collection Partners) to encourage and collect guest reviews, including this one.

We loved our stay, the staff was wonderful. It is a good walk from the market. We went for our anniversary, the hotel gave us a carriage ride as a gift. I would defiantly stay there again. They have a great courtyard where we ate breakfast every morning.

Well Happy Anniversary again and thank you so much for trusting us with that occasion. We hope to see you again for future anniversaries. Thanks as well for your business in general and for taking the time to review you stay for all to see.Kevin EichmanGeneral ManagerMore emmcelligottCharleston, South CarolinaLevel Contributor 3 reviews

We stayed here for our wedding night along with some of our guests. Really love the location and our room was great. We live in the low country but wanted to stay downtown after our wedding. They let us check-in early so my groom could get ready which was very nice.

Congratulations to you! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding night and for taking the time to let others know how your stay went. We really do appreciate that and wish you a long and wonderful life together.Kevin EichmanGeneral ManagerMore LouisianaLady009LouisianaLevel Contributor 21 reviews 9 hotel reviews5 helpful votes

This Hampton Inn is built into an 1880's Charleston building. Fabulous! While the room was very nice, it is the setting and location that make it so special. Added bonus: The ground floor courtyard rooms have french doors that open out onto the courtyard/pool area and gardens. This was my favorite part! A city parking garage is located next door…More

Stayed here several times over last few years, but last two times have killed it for me. Room smelled wet and musty, climate control controlled nothing. It feels older and more worn each time I stay here. In major need of upgrade.

I am so sorry to read this review of your stay and hope that you will reach out to me and let me know how I can help please. We understand we need to earn your business every time and it seems we have failed and I would love to know how I can make this better for you.Kevin…More Ron KPelham, AlabamaLevel Contributor 19 reviews 3 hotel reviews1 helpful vote

As usual, this Hampton Inn was consistent with service & accommodations. Parking requires public parking deck that requires time & inconvenience of walking. However, hotel is in reasonable walking distant to restaurants, shopping, historic sites. Be sure to pack your walking shoes. Driving in the area is not recommended.

We certainly appreciate your business and your wonderful review of your stay with us. I agree with you, wear your walking shoes because Charleston is laid out in such a great way and we are so close to everything. We hope to be of service to you again the next time you find yourself in our beautiful city.Kevin Eichmna…More bubbajack67Charleston, South CarolinaLevel Contributor 3 reviews 3 hotel reviews

Kevin, Emily and Kristen were terrific- all hotel staff for that matter. Hotel is clean and has the Charleston trimmings of decor. Great location and quiet. Fell in love with Charleston while staying here in 2015 – ended up moving here because of our experience – sought shelter from the Hurricane right back at our Hampton Inn.

We sure do appreciate you riding out the storm with us and for the wonderful review. It was so nice to have you as our guest and we are so glad we lived up to the past experience that had you move to our city.Kevin EichmanGeneral ManagerMore phillytransplantscLevel Contributor 37 reviews 15 hotel reviews28 helpful votes

Right after Hurricane Matthew on our way to GA. Spent the night here, they were operational, although mildew smells on first floor. Convenient location across from Charleston Visitor Center, cozy, clean room, in old style furnishings. Nice and quiet, windows facing courtyard with serene views. Recommend base for touring downtown Charleston.

We can’t thank you enough for stopping by on your way through town after the hurricane. We are so glad that we had no damage and happy to report that Charleston is prettier today than it was the day before the storm.Safe travels to you.Kevin EichmanGeneral ManagerMore Jeffrey HMassillon, United States1 review
