If you're looking for somewhere to stay that's quintessentially Charleston with a great location and good price, this is your spot. I just stayed here 10/13-10/16/16 and truly enjoyed my stay. The location is the real winner; you're literally in the middle of all the downtown Charleston sites. But my room was spacious and made me feel like I was…More

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the hotel. Breakfast in the room was complimentary, the courtyards were gorgeous and the location was very convenient. It's a great place to stay in Charleston that really completes the experience. Despite being a "historic" hotel, our room had all the modern amenities of a new large hotel, plus the charm.More

I've stayed numerous times here for business and personal. It's a nice, quaint inn that is truly Charleston. It isn't pretentious. Great wine and cheese social at 5:00 and breakfast delivered to your room for free is worth it alone! Reasonable rates.

We have just stayed at Kings Courtyard Inn this September for 3 days. It was a wonderful hotel and ideally situated in King Street with great shops and restaurants. Everything was easy to get to from this amazing hotel. Room was great and the staff were extremely helpful. Great stay.

6 girlfriends on 5 day trip to Charleston. Booked months in advance and changed reservation several times because of amount of people going. Staff were so great and accommodating. We were so pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and quaint this hotel is. The rooms all had fireplaces, great beds. Extremely clean bathrooms. Beautiful little courtyards to have free breakfast and…More

This hotel reminded us of a charming old hotel in Italy, with a central courtyard open to the sky, and hallways open to the outside air looking down on it. Our room was very clean, furnished with period pieces, a large armoire and a comfortable bed. We appreciated the small frig., daily newspaper, and water bottles available at the front…More

Such a wonderful stay! Very welcoming staff, clean and spacious rooms, and incredible southern charm! The location is perfect for walking around the whole city. There is a wine and cheese reception every afternoon and my favorite part is that you can order breakfast to your room and it's free! I will absolutely stay here again!

We were upgraded to room 605. the room had simiiar characteristics of the past but with modern amenities. This suite had a spacious living room, the bedroom was just as nice….More

We stayed in this nice historic place for three days. Location, service and hospitality were great. Reception with late afternoon wine and Hors d'oeuvres and service of sherry in the evening were nice. The breakfast had the same very basic menu every day. However, right around the corner there is a great place for breakfast – Toast restaurant.

Beautiful old building on King Street… the style reminded me a lot of New Orleans, with courtyards and fountains. This is a quaint location with very personable service…. breakfast was complimentary & the daily wine tasting/sherry service was a huge bonus!!The room was very comfortable.
