Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago Hotels Reviews

Address: 225 N Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60601-2404 (Formerly Hotel Monaco Chicago – a Kimpton Hotel)

First time staying at this hotel in Chicago and I loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the front desk filled you in on everything you needed to know and the room was beautiful and relaxing. Location was ideal as well.

Travelling for businessLocation – Excellent, Loop, near the river and magnificent mile. Cannot be faulted.Check in – quick and easy.Room – Decor is badly in need of an update, the hotel feels old and stale. The rooms are of ok size but are dark and feel old. Bed average.Bathroom- Average, shower in the tub, poor flow,…More

The hotel is very impressive, to say the least. The rooms are spacious and they even have window seats that can function as a day-bed. Excellent way to overlook the river and do some work.Facilities are excellent and, although we never used this, they provide bikes for guests to tour the city. The gym is decent but is clean…More

We booked a 3 night weekend stay for the Chicago Marathon. The location was great, easy walking distance to the start corals. We had a king room and the bed was very comfortable. Rooms were not huge and the room we stayed in only had a desk and one chair. Would have been better if there was another place to…More

stayed there for a weekend, I've always enjoyed the Kimpton chain. it's clean, friendly staff, but like any other Chicago hotel, expensive parking. the rooms are nice and spacious, a little old fashion for my taste but its a boutique hotel. staying in the city, bring you closer to the lifestyle and nightlife.

The staff was very helpful and the rooms were tidy, clean and spacious.. the reading nooks are a great feature. Didn't get a chance to use the bikes or attend happy hour but both seem like they'd be fun on a future stay… If I was going to critique a few things, it would be that the tv in the…More

Amazing hotel, great location. They had free wine during happy hour on the day I checked in. The day staff was great! The night shift staff seemed rude (maybe she doesn't like her job, who knows)…. overall it was amazing I wish I'd stayed longer!

The only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is that they don't have any type of continental breakfast for business travelers. I had an 8 a.m. meeting and don't have time to sit in a restaurant for breakfast. So, this hotel didn't meet the needs of a business travelers. Accommodations were very nice otherwise.

We love this city! We previously stayed at Hotel Allegro and chose Monaco this time. The location is perfectly located on the river. It is literally one block from the "L" which is a deciding factor for me. If you want to go to the theater, there can't be a better hotel location that this. Obviously the wine hour is…More
