The Talbott Hotel, Chicago Hotels ReviewsAddress: 20 East Delaware Place, Chicago, IL 60611-4938
Stayed 3 nights at the Talbott and got a room on the 15th floor which was actually very nice, spacious and clean. The decor looked a bit dated but was fine.Had street view but there isn't much to see.Location is very convinient a few minutes walk to the magnificient mile (good for shopping) and/or Hancock Tower. Also a…More
Located between Michigan Ave. and State St., the Talbott is within walking distance of shopping, steps away from a Starbucks and around the corner for a great breakfast cafe. Our room was very comfortable and was priced reasonably for the downtown Chicago market. (I'm always surprised by the taxes than can inflate the final bill!)Starting with the Bell Captain…More
This hotel treats you really well. The valet-bellmen Dwayne, Bess and others are terrific, friendly and patient!! Food is also very good!! Loved the room- classy and decorated well. The front desk does not take kindly to Expedia users though-beware. Excellent location, 3 blocks from MI ave!!????
What a beautiful, friendly gem in this great city. This is like coming to stay at a friend's condo in the city, completely comfortable and thoughtful in every way. From the angels at the front desk, to Dwayne the bellman who gave us such good service, Tim the concierge who gave us great advice … all could not have been…More
This hotel was absolutely amazing from the time we got there until the time we left. Everyone was so sweet to my daughter who was turning 10 during our stay. They made sure she had the american girl experience of a lifetime. Dwayne the concierge was always on top of things for us. The wait staff was accommodating as well…More
Been to Chicago many times. Dwayne at the Talbott gave the best advice on where to eat. Not to mention he made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The hotel is amazing – classy yet comfortable – but Dwayne made our stay incredible.
Stayed here for three nights for the Chicago Marathon. I wanted a comfortable, clean hotel at a reasonable price in the city. The hotel was all that and then some. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Loved the decor. Still kept it's old charm with modern updates. Felt right at home. Loved the lobby, comfortable sofa and chairs. And…More
Don't judge this hotel just on the fact it is in an older building. Though the structure is older the refurbishment is comprehensive. The rooms were more than adequate and mine had a desirable high ceiling and classy period furnishings. The bathroom had a bath and a separate shower stall and two sinks. It was easy to keep the room…More
We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Chicago. It is in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, close to shopping, restaurants and a grocery store. The staff was exceptional. Although some may find the decor too traditional, the rooms are nicely appointed and quite large. We will not hesitate to stay here again.
I was a bit confused that this hotel was ranked #3 in Chicago as we entered our room. The room was nice but nothing note worthy. But after staying for a few days in the hotel I see why people keep coming back. It truly feels like home.Dwayne the doorman made the experience for us he was so personable…More
