Bali Hai Motel, Fort Lauderdale Hotels Reviews

Address: 1601 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305-2528

This motel was as expected, clean and tidy but older (no frills). Free wifi was available and staff were friendly. The aircon worked well, but was very noisy. Overall it was a cheap option for a place to sleep! Good variety of restaurants immediately adjacent and over the road – including Starbucks!ReportHelpful?Thank Carmenjfoster Hanan BRamat Gan, IsraelLevel Contributor292 reviews32 hotel reviews163 helpful votes

I was duly impressed when, after reserving with Booking.com, I received a kind mail from the owner/manager saying that they had the nonsmoking room that I requested in my reservation and it was being held for me. I was less impressed the next day when I drove up. The motel was relatively small and looked old.. In fact it is…MoreReportHelpful?1Thank Hanan B Terri HSacramento, CaliforniaLevel Contributor51 reviews16 hotel reviews31 helpful votes

This little motel is a hidden gem along hwy 1. The room was ready for us when we arrived from the airport very early in the day, the owners are very hospitable, the bed is great and the rooms are well cared for and spacious.ReportHelpful?1Thank Terri H Bob xFloridaLevel Contributor113 reviews24 hotel reviews26 helpful votes

We stayed there overnight for $ 98.00 incl tx.This is much money for this only new painted hotel.Because the bed, the furniture and the bath-valves are old! They should have been changed, when remodeling!!But is was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever seen in my whole life! The owner lives on premesis and there are cameras…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Bob x DiabelliMiVienna, AustriaLevel Contributor47 reviews39 hotel reviews21 helpful votes

The price was reasonable (75$), location is good, the room needs an update (I guess it's from the 70s), but it's very clean, nice shower. The staff is very friendly too. I was in rm 102 (supposedly non-smoking, I smelled smoke though) and the free wifi there was so week that i had to infront of the motel to get…MoreReportHelpful?Thank DiabelliMi john lNaples, FloridaLevel Contributor23 reviews5 hotel reviews7 helpful votes

Staying one night for business seminar. Family owned and helpful. Asked for a king, non smoking and was given suit with full kitchen for same base price. Room was clean, but bath needed work because of possible mold. Looks like work done by family not professionals. Grounds, including small pool completely updated with beautiful landscaping, fence around pool and tile…MoreReportHelpful?Thank john l Kevin RAustinLevel Contributor36 reviews3 hotel reviews9 helpful votes

The place is clean and the family-owned motel is quaint, but the rooms are way out-dated. The microwave didn't work well and for a motel that came with a kitchenette, there were no pots, pans, or silverware. WHAT???? The location is fantastic but ehh on the motel.. Upgrades are seriously needed (the rooms look like they were decorated in 1972).ReportHelpful?1Thank Kevin R m10lpsLeeds, United KingdomLevel Contributor15 reviews8 hotel reviews16 helpful votes

We just called into this family run motel on arriving in Lauderdale and were welcomed by a very pleasant owner, I think. He gave us the choice of 2 rooms and the one we chose was large and absolutely fine. The place, as a whole, is slightly dated but spotlessly clean and very pleasant staff everywhere. I would recommend this…MoreReportHelpful?1Thank m10lps Chuck FFort Lauderdale, FloridaLevel Contributor81 reviews12 hotel reviews28 helpful votes

After reading reviews, I decided to try it out. I was relocating back to Fort Lauderdale and needed a place for a few nights. It's not the newest, fanciest, largest room. However, it's clean, comfortable and the best location. Pleasently surprised. Good value as well.ReportHelpful?1Thank Chuck F David BDunedin, Florida, United StatesLevel Contributor57 reviews19 hotel reviews49 helpful votes

I'm a bicycle tourist, and while Fort Lauderdale isn't as bicycle-friendly as some other places, it isn't bad, especially once you get down by the beaches. This motel is located on Hwy. 1, quite close to one of the main arteries leading to the beach. There are many great restaurants in the immediate area and the Galleria shopping complex is…MoreReportHelpful?1Thank David B PreviousNext123Updating list… Questions?
