Price was good considering the location. Just a block from the beach. People that work there are nice. Spent Thanksgiving weekend there 2016.Rooms are smelly. We had two of them. One had syringe caps under (to the side really as there was no "under" the bed. Pretty nasty but at least the actual needles were not there. Room 137…MoreReportHelpful?Thank James P PWolbach, Manager at Beachcomber Inn, responded to this reviewDear James P.;Thank you for your remarks as we take our customer experience very serious. The only problem I had was I could not use the pool, which had deep steps, and I have metal knee which could not bend. place was greatReportHelpful?Thank Dianem328-13 PWolbach, General Manager at Beachcomber Inn, responded to this reviewThank you for your kind review. The staff was wonderful, breakfast was adequate. Room 244 was very pleasant, I was very surprised because with a direct weekday book they give you a 10% discount. Our room with tax was around $ 40.00. Fresh linens and plenty of towels. Will stay again.ReportHelpful?1Thank Ironsocks PWolbach, Manager at Beachcomber Inn, responded to this reviewThank You for your kind review…as an independent hotel we strive to offer the comfort and quality of the nationally branded chains at an affordable rate!dolomotoSavannah GALevel Contributor307 reviews23 hotel reviews95 helpful votes

The usual discounts netted a room rat of around $40. The room was clean and well maintained with friendly staff. Breakfast included cereal, bagels, Oatmeal hard boiled eggs and coffee which was a nice selection.ReportHelpful?1Thank dolomoto PWolbach, Manager at Beachcomber Inn, responded to this reviewThank you for your review…. My husband and I checked into the Beachcomber Inn yesterday after spending two nights in another hotel on the seawall that was, let's say, not worth the money we paid!We brought our two dogs. At the other hotel they were constantly barking at every little noise they heard. We were up all night with the dogs barking constantly. We…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Summer P PWolbach, Manager at Beachcomber Inn, responded to this reviewThank you for your kind review! We were looking for budget accommodation for part of our road trip, but unfortunately there’s nothing budget about Galveston in July. This place seemed the most reasonably priced accommodation with a decent location, although it’s a bit care worn and could do with some TLC.It’s a short walk to the beach, but you need to cross a four lane…MoreReportHelpful?1Thank LiciaW PWolbach, Manager at Beachcomber Inn, responded to this reviewDear Licia;I apologize for the hassle of taking deposits… we are reviewing this process and take your comments to heart.MoreNetters68Magnolia, Texas, United StatesLevel Contributor28 reviews11 hotel reviews5 helpful votes

Went down for the day and decided to stay. Booked using a free reward from another company. It is not luxury or on the beach. Family of 4 (2 kids under 6) traveling on a whim. Front desk attendant was nice, check in easy. Room was average size, had a refrigerator that was clean. The light in the bathroom was…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Netters68 bayoutraveler123United StatesLevel Contributor58 reviews25 hotel reviews18 helpful votes

Hotel is a few blocks from beach…. We were staying overnight on the way home from south padre….. Clean, outdated, good customer service… Small pool… Crappy towels…. Would have happily paid $75 … $165 because it is July was highway robbery.ReportHelpful?Thank bayoutraveler123 Augusto J1 review

I had specifically asked for a non smoking room! It was the first thing I noticed when I walked in and then there was a "non smoking" sign at the table… Ironic. The stink of the place woke me out of my sleep! That's how bad it was!ReportHelpful?Thank Augusto J PreviousNext123456…28Updating list… Questions? Get answers from hotel staff and past guests.
