Beautiful hotel with a lot of great history and some restless spirits hanging around (mostly benign). Staff and service are superb and the Sunday Brunch is a must (though I was hesitant to pay the asking price, it's well worth it). We will probably make it a monthly occurrence.ReportHelpful?Thank fcurley Myra Z1 review

We were here last week and it was great! A hotel with a ton of history! Apparently it's haunted (with friendly ghosts) and there are some stories behind the ghosts. The hotel provides ghost tours as well. When we arrived the tour was full, but they have an app and you can do a self guided tour – which was…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Albertacanadafemale Sandra IHouston, TexasLevel Contributor62 reviews10 hotel reviews19 helpful votes

One night stay in Galveston at the Hotel Galvez was well worth it. Returning to the island to stay in this historical landmark was worth the price. The hotel staff welcomes you and attends to your needs. The hotel bar is magical and the food and drink were good. The rooms are small but adequate for two people for a…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Sandra I WyndhamGalveston, Public Relations Manager at Hotel Galvez & Spa A Wyndham Grand Hotel, responded to this reviewWe are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Hotel Galvez & Spa. I got married at the Hotel Galvez back in August 2016, my Catering Manager was Gina she was very easy going and good to work with. I myself work in the hospitality industry coming from Hilton/Marriott hotels so I know how service standards should be. I did like that fact that Gina worked with me on some of my concerns…MoreReportHelpful?Thank fredrica m WyndhamGalveston, Public Relations Manager at Hotel Galvez & Spa A Wyndham Grand Hotel, responded to this reviewThank you for choosing Hotel Galvez for your big day. Decided to go to Galveston for Thanksgiving week. There were 4 of us and a small dog.Overall a good trip however there were a few hitches.1). I had requested a room away from the elevator as I am a light sleeper but to my surprise, they put me directly in front of the elevator. Second room was next…MoreReportHelpful?Thank tbobtx WyndhamGalveston, Public Relations Manager at Hotel Galvez & Spa A Wyndham Grand Hotel, responded to this reviewWe appreciate the insight on your recent stay at Hotel Galvez. My family recently visited the property the week of Thanksgiving and we could not have been more pleased. The hotel itself is just beautiful, old craftmanship with some modern elements and very well maintained. The pool was heated and gorgeous to relax by or swim in at night. All of the staff was friendly and the food at the restaurant…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Kristen C WyndhamGalveston, Public Relations Manager at Hotel Galvez & Spa A Wyndham Grand Hotel, responded to this reviewThank you for choosing to celebrate Thanksgiving at Hotel Galvez. Grand old hotel. Having the doormen open the doors at the entrance just made it more unique. We enjoyed spending time in the lobby/bar playing cards. Be sure to visit their history hall in the basement.ReportHelpful?Thank DakotaRose_24 WyndhamGalveston, Public Relations Manager at Hotel Galvez & Spa A Wyndham Grand Hotel, responded to this reviewWe are thrilled you enjoyed your stay at Hotel Galvez.
