I was very disappointed in my stay. I even checked out a day early. There was construction going on all night long and wheelbarrows going down the hallway while I attempted to sleep. The rooms were not well appointed. They put fresh towels in the room but neglected to clean the tub, sink, or mirror. There was makeup dried onto…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Margi A scarabrose81Pullman, Washington2 reviews

Stayed here one night. That was enough. Unknowingly booked a hotel that is in the middle of remodel, no mention upon arrival. Halls were taped off with plastic, the whole place smelled of new paint and musty halls. Pool and hottub drained and unusuable. As noted before the rooms are worn out and tired. The "comforters" we're barely a large…MoreReportHelpful?Thank scarabrose81 Steve WRepublic, MissouriLevel Contributor18 reviews5 hotel reviews5 helpful votes

This was our first but by no means our last dealing with this property and the GM Dade. We had a group of approximately 80 people that stayed at this property. The property was under renovation, yet Dade and his crew made this a very enjoyable stay. Once this property is finished with renovations it will be a mainstay on…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Steve W TheTravelingPepeSpringfield, MissouriLevel Contributor108 reviews24 hotel reviews31 helpful votes

Stayed one night prior to leaving for a cruise and the place is being remodeled. I travel often and can look beyond the "dust". Starting from the drive way it was very clean and appeared recently painted. The front lobby is looking better with new paint, trim, carpet and gypsum board. The desk clerk was very efficient checking-in our group…MoreReportHelpful?1Thank TheTravelingPepe mushu2028Fort Worth, Texas1 review3 helpful votes

So the property was bought unbeknownst to us. We arrived at 4:00 in the afternoon well after the 3:00 check-in time and were told LaQuinta contacted you and cancelled the reservation; an hour later after calling all over the place Copa actually looked up the reservation and viola there it was. We had high hopes that were dashed when another…MoreReportHelpful?3Thank mushu2028 Carmen JShreveport, LouisianaLevel Contributor33 reviews7 hotel reviews5 helpful votes

This hotel changed ownership the day we arrived. Renovations were going on. Parking is beneath the hotel but the key would not open the door to the elevator. Our kids had to run up the stairs and come back down in the elevator to let us in. The pool was very good. Water was clear. Breakfast only fair. Bathroom door…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Carmen J llwebster287648Red Oak, Texas1 review

It was a nice stay. The room was nice and the view was amazing. The breakfast was pretty good. The hotel pool was small but we were right next to the ocean so that was okay. It was close to some restaurant and other places. But over all i have to say way to many hotels near it and they…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Table_Kat Dade V, General Manager at La Copa Inn Galveston, responded to this reviewThank you for staying with us we all are looking forward to completion of repairs and remodel along with the completion of the sand beach next year in our area.MorePeggy BAustin, United States1 review

A/C was working poorly. Adjusted the temperature to 60 degrees and barely kept the room cool and the fan blower barely blew the A/C air out into the room. The overall room smelled real bad. Found bugs in the bathroom. The carpet needed to be shampooed badly. The rooms are very simple. Breakfast was not that great for the price…MoreReportHelpful?Thank Peggy B Dade V, General Manager at La Copa Inn Galveston, responded to this reviewThank you for your review we are sorry we dropped the ball during your stay. The reason the 4 waffle machines is to let all of our guest enjoy their breakfast mostly on weekends at a faster pace as they are all used during busy times. The upcoming sand beach directly across the street should be completed next year. The…MorePreviousNext123456…62Updating list… Questions? Get answers from hotel staff and past guests.
